Grade Seven Social Studies Outline

Welcome to grade seven Social Studies. We will be studying the following four clusters:
Cluster 1 People and places in the world. (Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec)
Cluster 2: Global Quality of Life (Jan Feb)
Cluster 3: Ways of Life in Asia, Africa or Australasia (May, June)
Cluster 4: Human Impact in Europe or the Americas ( March, April)
Social Studies is the study of how people relate to relate to each other not only in their own community, but all around the world. The students will learn to become active, democratic citizens and contributing members of their communities, locally, nationally, and globally.
The students will keep journals, conduct research, role-play, conduct oral presentations, complete projects, and use self and peer assessments throughout this process.
Necessary Supplies:
Binder, pens, pencils, markers/pencil crayons, scissors, glue, duotang
